PEER™ Model for Giving Feedback
The process must start by expressing Concern - Ask the question; is this behaviour out of character for this person?
 
PERMISSION
  • Ask the person for permission to give them some feedback. The aim is ensure the recipient is open and actively listening.
EXPLAIN
  • State the behaviour that you would like to give feedback on (positive or negative behaviour). Use the 3 golden rules specific, facts and behaviour.
EFFECT
  • Outline the effect or impact that this behaviour is having on others or on their performance. Try link the behaviour to a company Value or Objective.
RESULT
  • What is the desired change in behaviour or continuation of behaviour that you would like to see?
     
  • Constructive Positive = Continue
  • Constructive Negative = Start, Change or Stop
